BitPluse合同会社 (the “Operator”) sets out the following about the information handled in the childcare logging app “nocoru” and its website (together, the “Service”).
1. Our Approach
- The Service can be used without registering an email address, password, or phone number.
- We limit the information we collect to what is needed to provide and improve the Service.
- We never use logs, photos, or children's names for advertising or usage analytics.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
2. Information We Collect
What users enter
- Childcare logs: Logs for bottles, nursing, diapers, sleep, meals (including records of solid-food ingredients and allergy labels), health, growth and more, and notes.
- Children's profiles: Name (a nickname is fine), date of birth, and other optional fields.
- Family posts: Short messages written to your family (up to 140 characters) and the reactions added. Only members of the same Family can read them. When you delete one, its text is also deleted from the server.
- Photos: Photos attached to logs. They are resized on your device before being sent (up to 10 MB each).
- Family information: The Family's name, members' display names and roles, and the status of invitations.
What the Service collects automatically
- Anonymous user ID and device key: Created the first time you launch the app. The device key is created in Secure Enclave on iOS or Android Keystore on Android, and the private key never leaves the device.
- Device list: The names of devices (such as the model name) that sync the Family's logs, and when each was last used.
- Notification destination: The Apple Push Notification service (APNs) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) destination used to update the Lock Screen (Live Activity) display, notify you of new Family posts, and sync logs. We also store the device's time zone to avoid sounding notifications at night and its display language to send notifications in the appropriate language. Notifications about a Family stop when you leave it. This information is deleted when you delete your account.
- Subscription status: Whether you have a Premium subscription, and when it ends. Payment information (such as card numbers) is handled by Apple or Google, whichever provides the store you purchased from, and the Operator does not receive it.
- Apple or Google account linking information (optional): Only when you link, we receive an identifier issued by Apple or Google and use it to transfer your account. We do not store email addresses included in authentication tokens.
- Usage: The features and screens used (as described in “4. What Is Sent to Outside Services.” You can choose not to send it).
In addition, to investigate failures and bugs, request records (time, URL, result, and so on) remain for a short period on the platform that runs the API (Cloudflare).
3. How We Use It
- Storing and syncing logs, and sharing them with your Family
- Transferring to a new device, and stopping the use of a lost device
- Managing Premium subscriptions
- Showing how many Families are nursing right now (we show only the total of per-Family counts, and never who is nursing)
- Showing ads in the free version
- Usage analytics and improving the app, investigating bugs, and responding to inquiries
- Preventing conduct that violates the Terms of Use

RevenueCat
- Sent to
- RevenueCat, Inc.

How to stop it from being sent
- App usage: Turn off Settings → Share Usage Data in the app to stop sending, and any data stored on the device is deleted too.
- App ads: Premium shows no ads and sends no information to AdMob.
- Website usage: You can stop it by blocking cookies in your browser or by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5. What Stays on Your Device
- AI-drafted logs (Premium): Text, photos and voice are read by Apple's model on your device. They are not sent to the Operator or any outside service.
- Late-night words: Chosen and shown on your device.
- Reminders: Settings and notifications exist only on that device.
- Importing from Piyolog: The text you import is read on your device, and only what is turned into logs is stored and synced.
- Widgets, Apple Watch, and Siri: They log through the iPhone app. Apple Watch talks directly to the iPhone.
6. Outsourcing, and Companies Outside Japan
The Service entrusts the storage and processing of information to the following companies.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States): Running the API, real-time sync, and photo storage (R2)
- Neon (United States): The database for logs. Data is stored in a data center in Singapore
- RevenueCat, Inc. (United States): Managing subscriptions
- Apple Inc. (United States): Distributing the app, payments, push notifications, and linking with Apple accounts
- Google LLC (United States): Distributing and taking payments for the Android app, push notifications through FCM, linking with Google accounts, usage analytics and investigating bugs, and ads in the free version
You can check the personal information protection systems of the United States and Singapore, where these companies are located, in the “Survey of Personal Information Protection Systems in Foreign Countries” published by Japan's Personal Information Protection Commission. Before entrusting information to each company, the Operator confirmed that the company's terms on data handling establish security control measures equivalent to those required under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
Except where required by law, we do not provide personal data to third parties without the person's consent.
7. How Long We Keep Information, and Deletion
- Logs and photos are kept until the Family is deleted. When you delete a log, it disappears from your Family's screens, but to sync with other devices we keep a deletion marker on the server until the Family is deleted.
- Deleting your account: You can do this yourself at any time from Settings → Protect Your Data → Delete Data and Leave nocoru in the app. Deleting removes your Apple and Google linking information, device key, and notification destination, and also removes the logs on your device. In a Family with other members, the logs you added stay with the Family and the other members can keep using them (your Family posts are also removed from the Family). In that case, we retain an anonymous user ID to mark your departure and sync the logs, but remove your member display name. If you are the only one in your Family, everything, including your anonymous user ID, logs and photos, is deleted. This cannot be undone.
- Your Premium subscription is not canceled when you delete your account. For an App Store purchase, cancel from Settings on your iPhone, then your Apple Account, then Subscriptions. For a Google Play purchase, cancel from Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions in Google Play. Use the same account you purchased with.
- Members of a Premium Family can export logs as CSV and JSON from Settings → Export Records in the app.
8. Children's Information
Children's profiles and logs are entered and managed by the User, who is the parent or guardian. We do not collect information from children themselves. Who can view or change a child's logs is decided by roles in the Family.
9. Security Measures
- All communication is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Device authentication uses a key that cannot leave the device, and short-lived tokens.
- You can stop a lost device from another device, from Settings → Devices.
- A Family's logs can be read only from the devices of that Family's members.
